THE BREADFEST CLUB
Bread brings us to the table.
Connection keeps us there.
The Breadfest Club is a place to bake, learn, gather and share — where making bread becomes a way to slow down, create with our hands and connect with the people around us.

OUR STORY
From a lockdown sourdough experiment to a community of bread bakers.
I have loved baking since I was little, but bread was always the one thing that intimidated me.
That changed in 2020, during the pandemic lockdown, when I finally decided to understand sourdough.
One loaf became another. I began baking Filipino breads from my childhood, Danish favourites from my husband’s heritage, and breads inspired by the different places we had called home.
I first shared them as SoMuchToDough by Rica, and for a while, I sold my bread too. But I soon realised that what I loved most was not selling bread — it was teaching people how to make it themselves.
And so, in our community in Nichada Thani, Bangkok, The Breadfest Club was born.
Over two semesters, I taught 35 students in Bangkok, followed by 9 students in Istanbul — many of whom started with the same hesitation I once had.
That experience shaped the philosophy I still teach today: Bread should fit into your life — not the other way around.
For me, bread has become more than something we bake. It is something I can carry with me wherever we live — a way to create familiarity, community and a little sense of home.
Bread is where we begin. Connection is what we make together.
THE CLUB
Come for the bread. Stay for the connection.
The Breadfest Club is for anyone curious about bread — from complete beginners to experienced home bakers.
Our gatherings are practical, relaxed and hands-on. We learn sourdough and everyday breads, explore baking traditions from different cultures and discover how to make bread-baking work around real life.
Sometimes it begins as a baking class.
Sometimes it becomes a long lunch, a cultural story, a new friendship or an experience somewhere unexpected.
Because bread may be what brings us together, but it is the sharing, stories and connections around the table that make The Breadfest Club what it is.
